The Challenges

2 days, 2 challenges:

Day 1:

• Wednesday 14th March
• 9am - 6pm

Day 2:

• Thursday 15th March
• 9am - 6pm
• Awards Ceremony: 6pm - 8pm

On both days all teams will compete directly against each other on the challenges. The challenges will be similar in style to those seen on the BBC's The Apprentice and Dragon's Den, teams are set a specific task and are given the opportunity to use their own enterprising instincts and ideas to outperform their rivals.

All details of the challenges will be kept top secret until the morning of the event itself. No preparation is required.

At the end of each day, teams will present what they have done to our panel of judges. The judges will score the teams over the two days and these will be added up to give us an overall BIG Business challenge winner. After the action on day 2, everyone will all go down to Old Bar for a well- earned drink and an award ceremony where the results will be announced.

We ask that all competitors taking part try to ensure they are able to attend for as much of each day as possible. Obviously we understand people may need to take a couple of hours out to go to a lecture, this is fine, however we strongly recommend that if you have heavy commitments over the two days you consider whether you can really afford to take part. Please consider your commitments before entering to avoid letting your team down.

Team captains (full teams only) are expected to ensure that at least three members of their team are taking part in the challenge at any one time over the two days.

There will be no scheduled lunch break, teams can eat as and when they please.
